Two years ago, Jack was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). While his prognosis now is very good – he’s been given a 95% chance of survival – his treatment is grueling. Between constant blood tests, chemotherapy, and a spinal tap every 3 months, Jack, now 7, is in constant pain that requires physiotherapy.

You’d think when Jack was eligible for a wish from Children’s Wish, he’d choose to treat himself to something spectacular. Instead, all he wanted to do was pay it forward! Jack teamed up with Children’s Wish supporter Sam Struan and his Exile Island tribe, “Jack Attack”, and set out to raise the $10,000 average cost of a wish. Exile Island is our survivor-style challenge to fundraise for pending wishes – all in one day!

The story was covered by VanCity Buzz, and the reaction was instantaneous – the team reached their fundraising goal in less than 24 hours! But Jack isn’t stopping there, and as his story continues to spread, so does his excitement at being able to help grant wishes for other deserving children!
