CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS Thanks a Million to Our Corporate Partners Quebec West Chapter Children’s Wish Quebec West Chapter (based in Montreal) had a record-breaking year of fundraising. This was in large part due to our generous corporate partners, who helped raise close to $1 million for Children’s Wish. Each year, Cadillac Fairview donates a portion of the revenues from stroller rentals and Santa photos in four of its shopping centres. For four weeks every summer, Couche-Tard convenience stores, in exchange for a $2 donation, give customers a redeemable coupon for a Sloche (Slushie) on their next visit. Carrossier ProColor, a collision repair franchise, mobilizes its network of repair centres to raise funds for an annual donation. In addition to a sizable financial contribution, BMR provides construction materials and decorative items for bedroom, playroom or tree-house wishes. Investors Group organizes several fundraising events that generate substantial donations. Fondation St-Hubert supports Children’s Wish through St-Hubert franchise and employee fundraising, and with popular wish suppers, which strengthen ties between the rotisserie restaurants and our wish families. And for one week every September, donations from the greater Montreal area Tim Horton Smile Cookie Campaign give wish children and families something special to smile about. The executives and employees of many of these companies also participate in the Children’s Wish Golf Classic and Heroes Challenge corporate fundraising event every year, generating additional support for the foundation. Funding from our corporate partners subsidizes nearly half of the wishes we grant in Quebec West, providing immediate and long-term benefits to more than 100 children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, along with their families. Corporate partners support nearly half of the wishes granted in the Quebec West Chapter. 11
