Fifteen year old Trevor has always been fascinated with Greek mythology. He dreamed of travelling to the birthplace of the many narratives he studied; stories that detailed the origins of the world, and outlined the lives and adventures of a wide variety of gods, goddesses, heroes and heroines.
Trevor was introduced to The Children’s Wish Foundation by the Cystic Fibrosis team at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. His wish was to explore Greece’s ancient civilization by touring the cities and countryside. Visits to the Parthenon, the Temple of Poseidon, Delphi, Sparta and Crete were at the top of his list of things to do.
The wheels were set in motion and a once in a lifetime experience was created to have Trevor, his parents and his three sisters travel to Greece. Not only did the family tour the ancient ruins on the mainland, they also embarked on a four day cruise from Athens to a variety of Mediterranean ports including Santorini, Mykonos and Crete.
A note from Mom clearly shared the families’ gratitude for the gift her Trevor received: "We want to pass on a very big thank you for granting Trevor and his family his dream wish; a trip to Greece... Trevor had a great time. This was truly an amazing adventure and we have memories of it that we will never forget!"
