Jade was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of three in 2006. After a few years of treatment she had her Disney themed wish come true. She spent three days at sea on a Disney Cruise, stopping at various ports, and four days at Disney World.

A few of Mom's words in the family's thank you letter sent after the trip help to articulate how important it was: "After 3 years of worry and stress our trip was alike a breath of fresh air for all of us. It was like a new beginning."
