Here’s how it works:
Making a donation of gift cards to us is easy. You can make a donation and receive your official tax receipt in three simple steps:
     
1. You mail in your gift cards.
 
2. CardSwap processes the donation.
CardSwap receives and validates your gift cards and send you an email confirming your donation amount.      

3. We issue you a tax receipt.

The Children’s Wish Foundation receives 100% of the donation amount and will issue you with a tax receipt.

What types of gift cards are eligible for this program?
A wide range of gift cards are eligible for this donation program. CardSwap accepts gift cards from nearly 400 Canadian retailers and service providers. Please click here for a complete list of gift cards that can be donated. You can also donate partially used gift cards, even if you’re not sure of the dollar amount that’s left on them. CardSwap checks the amount on each card as part of the validation process, and will notify you of the exact amount before proceeding with the donation.

At this time, the following gift cards are NOT eligible:
- Paper-based gift certificates or coupons
- Gift cards with expiry dates or other usage restrictions
- Gift cards in currency other than Canadian dollars
