The Manitoba & Nunavut Chapter is privileged to have several long-time partnerships with local businesses that are committed to our cause. One of these businesses is the Travelodge Winnipeg East, who has been supporting our chapter for almost 15 years. The Travelodge consistently  donates prizes to be used in our Silent Auctions at fundraisers, and always provides us with exceptional service and affordable pricing on any functions that we hold at the hotel.

The Travelodge helps in a very unique way as well, by putting on its annual “Celebrity Media Lip Sync” fundraiser at Doubles Fun Club. This fun and creative event sees local groups from communities all over the city prepare a lip sync compilation according to the theme, which is different every year and have included Country, Disney Scores, Irish, Las Vegas, and many more! This event raises between $20,000 and $25,000 each year for our chapter and ensures the wishes of at least three special children are granted.

A very special thank you goes to Travelodge employees Suzanne Cave (Sales Manager) and Jacques Arnal (General Manager), who plan this fantastic event every year and without whom the Lip Sync would not be possible.  Suzanne and Jacques are invaluable resources to our chapter and their generosity and dedication are second to none. We would also like to acknowledge the incredible support of the Lip Sync Committee members, who work tirelessly to ensure that this event is a success.
