In keeping with the Canadian Navy's proud tradition of helping children in need, 10 members of Halifax's ships' company will run across the province from Yarmouth and North Sydney to Halifax to raise money for the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. This year the run will be from Yarmouth to Sydney from June 10-18th with the finishing celebration on June 21st.

Last year's run raised over $25,000.00 to grant wishes for children suffering from life threatening illnesses, and over the past 9 years, they have raised more than $100,000 for this worthwhile cause.

The past success of this event is due to the running of an annual golf tournament, local events onboard ship, pledges to participants and the participation and support of community minded companies, schools and organizations.
