Referring a potential wish child is as easy as calling your local chapter by phone or e-mail. And while anyone can refer a child, the child's parents or legal guardians must communicate their interest in a wish directly to The Children's Wish Foundation.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is privileged to have the honour of playing a small role in the group of dedicated people who surround these special children. Children are eligible from 3 - 17 years when the request is received. They must be legal residents of Canada and have an illness, which is categorized as a life threatening condition.

Who can refer a child?
Children who may be eligible for a wish can be referred to us by the following sources:- Social Workers
- Nurses
- Child-life specialists
- Relatives/Friends
- The potential wish child
- Other wish families
- Community or support organizations
- Doctors
