Dear Children’s Wish,

When we first heard the news that Deniz had been chosen to receive his wish to visit the Bahamas at Christmas time last year, we could hardly contain our excitement.

Prior to the trip, Deniz told everyone he knows that he would be travelling on an airplane for the first time and swimming with dolphins at Dolphin Cay with his family.

Words could not describe how beautiful everything was in the Bahamas. Palm tress everywhere, the sheer size of the hotel with its grand architecture, the warm water and endless beaches...truly a paradise on earth. A few short days after landing, Deniz met an amazing dolphin named Julian at the Cay. The instructors were so kind and patient. Though it was a new experience for everyone, the gentleness and intelligence of these creatures put us all at ease. We have enclosed a picture of Deniz’s tender kiss to his special friend, Julian.

There is a permanent smile on my son’s face whenever someone mentions the word "vacation". His eyes light up as he tells the story of his special wish.

We will cherish our memories of the Bahamas for the rest of our lives.
