Cole Robinson can be a very active child. The seven-year-old loves swimming, skating and playing T- ball both in gym class and away from school. Unfortunately, Cole has become accustom to missing out on these activities. The reason? Cole is battling severe Hemophilia.
Hemophilia B is a rare bleeding disorder, in which your blood lacks the necessary and important proteins for it to clot after injury. Like Cole, those with hemophilia suffer external and internal bleeding especially in the areas of their joints. As a result, this bleeding can cause damage to tissue and organs.
Cole was “over the moon excited” after being approached by the Children’s Wish Foundation Prince Edward Island Chapter and told he was eligible for a wish.
He knew right away what his choice would be. The first part of Cole’s wish to spend time at the Magical Kingdom didn’t stop there. Images of a distant coast line, blue water and his family relaxing at sea danced in his mind. He decided a Disney land and sea vacation would be a spectacular adventure.
With the generosity and support of the owners and staff of Peake’s Quay Restaurant & Bar, Cole’s wish became a reality in December 2010. Cole and his family spent four fun-filled days at Disney World, followed by three relaxing days on a Disney Cruise!
This seven year old, high-spirited boy was able to combine his two biggest dreams, resulting in a special and truly magical heart-felt wish!
