Pass the popcorn! On August 9, without a cloud in the sky, over 850 volunteers, sponsors, and supporters of Children’s Wish came together at the rodeo grounds in Strathmore to watch a movie under the stars, enjoy yummy snacks and enjoy an evening of fun for the whole family. 

Showing the popular kid’s movie , Rio, in partnership  with Fresh Air Cinema, the dedicated volunteers of the Strathmore Wishmaker Walk committee worked hard to create a magical evening honouring the significance of wishes in the lives of the many families we serve.  At the end of the night, this unique fundraiser raised over $10,000 – enough to grant a local child's wish in a single evening! A huge thank you to all of the hard working and enthusiastic volunteers of the Strathmore committee.
