Have you ever wondered what those few coins jingling in your pocket can really amount to? Thanks to spare change collected from passerby at the Calgary International Airport, a local child diagnosed with a life threatening illness will have the opportunity to realize their most heart felt wish! Since late 2009, Hudson Group and the four Hudson News locations at the Calgary International Airport have generously been collecting coins on behalf of The Children’s Wish Foundation. Periodically, Children’s Wish staff pick up the coins to be sorted and counted by volunteers. Following a recent pick up, it was confirmed that Hudson News had collected over $10,000; enough to grant their first wish!

Wishes vary in expense by virtue of their variety and complexity, with the average cost of a wish falling around $10,000. The coins collected from the Hudson News locations will be used to help turn a local child’s dream into reality. To further show their support, Hudson Group recently announced that Hudson News locations at the Edmonton International Airport will also be launching a similar campaign.
