Picture: Félix is all smiles, feeling comfortable and relaxed in the warm water of the spa!

Félix is a young happy boy with a great big smile who loves bath time! His parents and older sister Arielle enjoy making him laugh by tickling him or pushing him on his swing.

Félix’s family found out he was blind when he was seven months old. Around one year later, his parents learned he was suffering from epileptic encephalopathy and from spastic quadriparesis. Then, when he was approximately two years old, that he was also deaf. Although Félix can hear the encouragements of his loved ones with hearing aids, he can’t sit up by himself and a serious dysphagia problem has led to a gastrostomy for which he was hospitalized.

It was during this hospital stay that a nurse suggested to the family to contact the Children’s Wish Foundation to express their most heartfelt wish. They immediately thought of the spa since Félix has an acute  sense of touch and loves warm water. He can spend a lot of time relaxing in his bath! Now, he has a spa at home which helps reduce his spasticity and makes him more relaxed and comfortable. After only a few minutes in the spa, a big smile appears on his face as he becomes more flexible and can move more easily.

Félix and his family can now enjoy magic, calm and blissful moments in warm water, right in their backyard!
