On the 9th of January, 2009, Charles-Édouard, then aged nine, was diagnosed with cancer. The following year was a real marathon between the different chemotherapy treatments he had to undergo. The young boy now aged ten has a passion for fishing since his grandfather introduced him to ice fishing when he was only three and a half-year old. When The Children’s Wish Foundation offered to grant him a wish, the choice was easy: he wished he could fish with Cyril Chauquet, the host of the well-known TV show «Mordu de la pêche».
Thanks to The Children’s Wish Foundation, Charles-Édouard and his idol Cyril spent a whole weekend together in the Fairmont Kenauk at Le Château Montebello, teasing the fish for hours, sharing their common passion and admiring the spectacular wilderness that surrounded them. Today, Charles-Édouard is in remission and is planning his next fishing trip!
