Samuel has just returned from Greece. This handsome 18 year old young man living with Friedreich's ataxia was eight years old when he was diagnosed with this terrible disease after a consultation for scoliosis. The ataxia is degenerative, so Samuel must now get around in a wheelchair. This condition does not prevent him, however, to have wonderful dreams. Samuel contacted Children's Wish himself to see if his most heartfelt wish could be granted. This history and geography enthusiast wanted to go to Greece! So, accompanied by his parents, sister, brother and his godfather, he traveled to this mythical country to discover historic monuments, small villages and huge rock formations. A private guide and a small bus helped Samuel and his family in their travels as the wheelchair couldn’t go everywhere. Samuel loved everything about his trip, the food as much as the visits. But his favorite visit was the monasteries of Meteora, where monks live perched at the top of gigantic rock pillars!
