A belief of 4H members is helping others in need. The local 4H clubs from the Battlefords area wanted to give back to a charity, seeing as there had been many a time when they had been given that helping hand. The local 4H kids made a list of charities that would benefit, and by a secret ballot they chose The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. It was decided that two flower baskets would be auctioned off, and the proceeds would be matched by the 4H clubs. The children had their Regional Show at the Battlefords Ag Society on June 3, 2012.  A local nursery provided the beautiful flower baskets. That evening the baskets brought in $125.00, and with each club giving a $50.00 donation, a grand total of $375.00 was raised for the Foundation.
