The Saskatchewan Chapter of The Children’s Wish Foundation was established in May 1986 and has had the privilege of granting wishes to children from all corners of our province. The success of the Saskatchewan Chapter is contributed to the giving nature of the prairie population, public and corporate fundraisers, special events, donated goods and services.
It is through the tireless efforts of many committed and enthusiastic volunteers and Provincial Board members that the quality of life has improved for so many children diagnosed with a life threatening disease or illness. It is our goal to ensure each wish is magical and memorable, and exceeds their expectations in a special way.
The Saskatchewan Chapter is located in Saskatoon and administered by Chapter Director (Carla Loney-Tindall), Wish Granting Coordinator (Gina Graham) and Fundraising Coordinator (Joanne King). Since 1988 Acklands Grainger has generously donated a large office space to the Chapter located at 1402 Quebec Avenue and access to meeting rooms, storage, and plenty of wall space to display our treasured photos.
The Saskatchewan Chapter is extremely grateful to Saskatchewan Blue Cross for its tremendous support over the years. Since the beginning, Blue Cross has provided medical insurance for travel wishes and even waived the pre-existing condition for wish children.
This exclusive agreement allows The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada to provide exceptional service to wish families, ensuring they can travel worry-free. The value of this contribution from Blue Cross cannot be measured in dollars alone but can certainly be seen in the smiles of thousands of wish children from across Canada.
