Saskatoon Blades Care About Kids
For 21 years the Saskatoon Blades players, coaches and staff have been helping grant the special wishes of children. Every season a player from the Saskatoon Blades is selected by the coaching team and Acklands Grainger as the Blades- Acklands Grainger Point Man. For every game point the player collects at a home or away game, $50.00 is donated by Acklands Grainger to The Children’s Wish Foundation. During playoffs the ante is increased to $100. Derek Hulak is continuing for the third year as the Acklands Grainger Point Man. With his his speed, agility and outstanding scoring ability Derek has helped raise $8550. We wish Derek a very successful year!Since 1988 this program has raised over $88,000. Thank you to Acklands Grainger and the Saskatoon Blades for creating special moments for children and their families. |

Wishmaker Walk for Wishes is the premiere national fund-raising event for The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Approximately 1.8 million dollars will be raised this year to grant heart-felt wishes to children living with life-threatening illnesses. Wishmaker Walk for Wishes takes place in over 100 communities across Canada on the October 16th, 2010.
