More Wishes More Wonders Campaign Raya Pomelkova
At the urging of the medical community, The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is expanding our mission to include children with serious genetic and neurologic diagnoses like severe cerebral palsy. These boys and girls face incredible challenges because they require constant and complex care, struggle with disabilities are often hospitalized, and face drastically shortened lifespans.
Six-year-old Mady has cerebral palsy. She suffers from seizures, lives with constant pain and is often in the hospital. But, no matter how Mady is feeling, her favourite movie, Mary Poppins, always brings a smile to her face. When Mady’s wish to meet Mary Poppins came true, the little girl was overjoyed — and so was her family who will always treasure that special moment.
“It’s really hard to put into words what our visit with Mary Poppins meant to Mady. We’re grateful that caring people like you gave her the opportunity to feel pure joy.”
Krystal Hadikin, Mady’s mother
