The Mission
Over the course of 7 days and 2,200 kms, Team Wishful Thinking (Mark Kostick of Sherwood Kia and Adam Hill of Possibility Holdings) will participate in the Targa Newfoundland rally race. Targa Newfoundland is a multi-stage, 200 competitor rally race throughout the scenic Province of Newfoundland.
Their goal is to raise $100,000 for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. In addition to a podium finish and a charitable donation, Team Wishful Thinking will be raising awareness of the amazing work provided by this world-class organization.
Through the generosity of their title sponsor, Kia Canada, team Wishful Thinking will enter Targa with a fully race-ready Kia Forte Koup, customized by Sherwood Kia. After the event the vehicle will be auctioned to the highest bidder with full proceeds going to The Children's Wish Foundation.
The Cause
The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada works with the community to provide children living with life threatening illnesses the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wish. Established in 1983, The Children's Wish Foundation has granted more than 15,000 wishes in the execution of their mantra "never say no to the wish of a child."
Team Wishful Thinking's fundraising goal of $100,000 for this amazing foundation will make a measurable difference to the lives of many wishful children.
How You Can Help
To raise $100,000, Team Wishful Thinking needs a minimum of 50 corporate sponsors to donate $1,000 each directly to The Children's Wish Foundation. In return for your sponsorship, your company logo will be included on the side of the Team Wishful Thinking Kia Forte Koup in addition to national recognition at the race, on The Children's Wish Foundation website, and in our press release.
