This fall, thousands of individuals came together in communities across Canada to walk and raise funds to create the magic of a wish for Canadian children living with life threatening illnesses. It's because of generous supporters like you that Children's Wish continues its proud tradition of never having refused a wish to an eligible child.
First introduced in the Maritimes almost 20 years ago, Wishmaker Walk for Wishes has grown into The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada's signature fundraising event. Since 2005, Wishmaker has raised over 1.3 million dollars each year and has reached countless children and their families through the magic of a wish.
Children's Wish is the single, largest wish granting organization in Canada. This year, Children's Wish expects to grant over 1,000 new wishes and with the help of volunteers and generous donors, grants approximately three wishes per day.
